The Carnival Fun Zone will be located near the Manhattan Pavilion and the Carboard Boat Regatta. It includes unlimited fun for wristband holders of all ages, featuring an inflatable obstacle course, toddler bouncy house, as well as carnival games and prizes galore! Wristband holders also receive discounts with event vendors and have the opportunity to vote for fan favorite in the Ellis Park Car & Watercraft Show. IT’s BAAAAAACK! After a 14 year hiatus, the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival’s Cardboard Boat Regatta will take place during the Ellis Family Fun Fest! This thrilling event captivates both participants and spectators alike, challenging teams to construct seaworthy vessels entirely out of cardboard and approved materials. With creativity and craftsmanship on full display, participants navigate the course, hoping to outmaneuver their rivals and cross the finish line victorious.

Being the local Boat Club, we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to provide some fun for dads too! Check out gleaming modern marvels, hot rods, classic cars and trucks as well as get up close and personal with different boats and personal watercraft on display in Ellis Park. Discretionary donation requested per vehicle entry, pre-registration encouraged. Wristband holders get to vote for fan favorite in several categories!

After a full day of family-friendly fun, food and fundraising, join us to relax in the main bowl of Ellis Park for some music. Musical guest Low & Away will provide a couple hours of great entertainment for all! Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket and spread out to wind down as the day comes to a close. Entry free, minors must be accompanied by an adult. Food vendors available through the show!
