GO/NO-GO DECISION: 4 PM

5 PM Update

‼️❌ FIREWORKS CANCELLED ❌‼️

Due to public safety concerns, a significant thunderstorm posing a high risk of lightning, and the lack of shelter for the crowds, the Cedar Boat Club has decided to CANCEL the July 3rd Ellis Fireworks show.

We did not make this decision lightly and have exhausted all resources to confirm the incoming weather.

We understand this is not the outcome everybody wanted, and apologize for the inconvenience. We wish everyone a safe weekend and ask that everyone take shelter from the incoming storms.

4 PM Update

⚠️ DECISION WINDOW EXTENDED — Leaning towards NO-GO ⚠️

We have extended the decision window to ensure we receive the most accurate forecast possible. Out of a concern for public safety, we are leaning towards a no-go due to the forecasted thunderstorms and a lack of shelter area for the crowds.

No final confirmation yet, we will keep the community posted.

Status – MONITORING

We have received new reports of an updated forecast and are assessing and monitoring closely with the CRPD.
