“The board would like to thank everyone that came out Saturday to The Double Z Bar & Grill to support our fundraising auction. Between donations, membership renewals and the auction items we raised well over $5000! Thank you to Jeff Mattison and Chad Johnson for the great music, and Jaymz Larson for always being a great host and supporter of local non-profits!
Our next club event will be on Saturday, May 28th as a joint effort with the Linn County sheriff dept and the Iowa DNR performing courtesy boat safety checks at the Mohawk and Ellis harbor ramps...We are taking donations of safety items needed for safe and legal boating on Iowa waters such as marine fire extinguishers, life jackets, paddle/oars (for boats under 16' length), whistles/air horns. Remember the life jackets you have on board must also be the correct size for your passengers (you can't have 4 adult life jackets with 2 adults and 2 small children on a boat).”
Just a reminder that tickets/citations will NOT be given out at this event. This is purely to ensure all boaters have the necessary safety equipment on board.
