Unfortunately this event has been canceled due to permitting and scheduling issues that the Club could not overcome. Hopefully it will be possible to find a path forward in future years.

Visitor Information

The races begin at 1 pm.

The 2024 Drag Boat Races will take place on the Cedar River, with the finish line near the Five Seasons Ski Team ski show bleachers. The course will be 800 ft.

Racers must register online and pay a $20 non-refundable deposit.

Audience Information (Land)

There will be seating available via the Ski Team bleachers, and food vendors will be available. Please be safe, respectful to those around you and clean up after your party.

Audience members may also watch from behind the start line on the harbor pier. Other viewing locations including along the bike path/sidewalk between the bleachers and Ellis Harbor.

Audience Information (Boaters)

Boats may anchor and watch the races from behind the start line or on the cove side of the river.

PLEASE DO NOT CAUSE WAKE CLOSE TO THE RACES! Waves take quite a while to fully dissipate before we can send the next set of racers. If you plan to go upriver, it would be best to get past Mohawk Park before getting on plane.

If you’d like to navigate past the race area downriver, please do so in the downtime between race classes. Ask a boat club member who is working the event before heading down. The small beach in front of the bleachers is reserved for racers.
