Helmets will be worn whenever the boat is in motion or motor is running. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Kill switches need to be in all boats racing and in working condition.
No drugs allowed. No drinking or alcohol by drivers before completion of all races.
Both the owner and driver(s) of all boats who compete in a race shall execute registration and release forms prior to the boat being allowed to race.
Boats must pass a prior technical safety inspection.
All drivers MUST attend the mandatory meeting prior to the races.
Black Flag rules will be strictly enforced, explained at the mandatory drivers meeting.
All racers must have a handheld GPS in their boats. Cell Phones may be accepted, pending approval of an accepted app - more info to come. Recall GPS Gauges mounted to the boat or Digital Data Logging Dashes s are acceptable. Brand Name is not specific but must be set for top max speed and zeroed out before boat is launched. Registration must check GPS day of the race. GPS must be zeroed out and marked as verified. GPS of winner will be checked after each race. If GPS turns off, it is considered a loss. Racers can always check or call out the losers as well, the CBC reserves that right along with other competitors. CBC is not responsible for GPS Failure.
In all classes, there is a 2mph Breakout. Example: if you are in the 65mph class and under and you register a GPS speed of 67.00 you are still legal. If you register a GPS speed of 67.01 you are eliminated from that class for the day.
Any driver in the same class has the right to check other competitors’ GPS units. If you feel the person you raced broke out at the end of the race idle over to the competitor’s boat and ask to check the GPS. At this time, you will need to show your GPS as well. If you both break out. Both competitors will be eliminated from that class for the day.
